The Pian del Frais offers Cross-Country routes with ‘height excursions’ of hundreds of metres, suitable for all bikers: woods, military roads at high altitude and mule-tracks will satisfy the appetites of everyone, whether or not sport-people.
Chiomonte and Pian del Frais are the main access points to the head of the Assietta and the peaks of the Ciantiplagna and the Gran Serin, which can be reached by bike. Another spot is the legendary Colle delle Finestre, the setting for an epic leg in the Giro d’Italia 2005, where road cyclists are challenged along 11km uphill along a gravel road.
