There slogan is "Fine lines, smooth jumps and epic views". The trails are at the Geschriebenstein which is the new "kid on the block" in the east of Austria and close to the Hungarian border.
Trails start from the "Ranch" (pass between Lockenhaus and Rechnitz) where you can directly enter into the "Rechnitz Trail" (6,2 km, red with black options) which leads you down to Rechnitz or you pedal up a litte to the "Batthyány Trail" (7,8 km, blue with red and black options at the end) which also brings you down to Rechnitz. Both of this trails end at the lake where you can end the trail experience with a swim in the lake.
To get to the trailhead of the "Esterházy Trail" (8,7 km, blue with red an black options at the end) you have to pedal up a little more but this is doable easily. This trail gets you down to Lockenhaus with some options at the end of the trail.
And there is the "Headtrail" which starts at the top of the Geschriebenstein and at the "Aussichtswarte Geschriebenstein". You have to pedal up (trail or gravel road) from the "Ranch" but it is worth to have a 360 degree view of the area you are riding in.
XC/Uphill Trails: "Geschriebenstein Strecke (Uphill) Süd", "Geschriebenstein Strecke (Uphill) Nord", "Paulusbrunnen Trail" (Start Margarethenwarte, End Lockenhaus), "Headtrail" uphill via gravel road.
Bike shuttle from Lockenhaus center and Rechnitz (near "Badesse") on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Kiosk (coffee, drinks, beer, and snacks with a very nice owner, also has a bikewash) where the trail down to Rechnitz end and a restaurant at the lower part of the Badesee.
