BREUIL-CERVINIA VALTOURNENCHE AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

On the saddle of your bike you will find the true sensations that nature has to offer; mountain biking in the mountain is not an extreme sport or just for the athletes, so why not try a new approach to this sport, in the mountains. Cervinia and Valtournenche as in many of the resorts of Aosta Valley, have invested heart and soul and strongly believe in this sporting activity, the silence of nature where the only noise is that of your wheels over the terrain.

Great news for mountain bike fans in Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche this Summer 2013: Weather conditions permitting it will be possible to ascend with the cable cars to the glacier of Plateau Rosà. Here the Maxiavalanche trail descends down to Cervinia, over 10 km over moraines and meadows

Breuil-Cervinia - Valtournenche

An infinite snowy area that begins at 1,524 metres, in Valtournenche, embraces Breuil-Cervinia, rises up to 3,480 metres of Plateau Rosà, touches the 4,000 m peak of Piccolo Cervino, climbes up to 4,478 m to the top of the Cervino. The tourism vocation of Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche has it’s beginning more than two hundred years ago.

The Matterhorn’s imposing silhouette stands on the various family mountainbiking and freeride tracks. New are the 3 rings circuits, ideal for family mountain biking and for those who love pedaling immersed in nature. There are two lifts that serves the tracks: Cime Bianche Laghi at 2.900 m characterized by its changing scenery from moonscape to wild steppe and Plan Maison at 2.500 with its green pastures and the Ventina’s moraines. In the unforgettable Valtournenche surroundings you can choose amongst 3 tracks: freeride Reine Blanche, Manda Track and the Baracon Path.

Torgnon

A splendid natural sun-kissed terrace overlooking the Matterhorn Valley, a privileged position with an ideal microclimate makes it a perfect summer holiday destination. Hiking, horse riding and mountain biking trails through the many villages with their stone houses, characteristic “rascards” and chapels scattered throughout the territory: Wherever you look here in the “Pays du soleil” you’ll be enchanted, captivated and moved.
